In innendstadtnaher Lage entstand ein multifunktionales Veranstaltungszentrum der Zukunft. Der Kern des bedeutenden Projektes ist die Stadthalle Zwickau, ein Kuppelbau in Form einer klassischen Arena, konzipiert als lichtdurchflutete Architektur aus Glas und Stahl.
Die rotationssymetrische Halle mit drei Ebenen bietet bei einem Rock/Pop-Konzert 7.278 Plätze, in der Arena sogar 7.740. Bei Bühnen- und Sportveranstaltungen finden um die 3.500 Besucher einen Platz.
